This lost trail makes a wide loop around spot pond. It is mostly on fire road and even paved sidewalk, but it does have one section of single track near Bear Hill and the Dark Hollow Pond Trail. This trail hasn't been marked in at least 20 years, so it can be tough to follow. It's extra tough to follow through Virginia Wood, where a completely different yellow trail was blazed right over this trail.

This trail is mostly singletrack. It followed the path of the Crystal Spring and Virginia Wood trail. Where the Virginia Woods trail ends, the old red trail continued South-West and ended at Route 28 near Wright's Pond.
