On May 10th 2003, NEMBA removed the old rotted bridge on the Mountain Bike Loop and built an awesome long lasting bridge in it's place. Here are some pictures of the finished product.

There's the main section I was happy to see its not straight and not level (it IS fun)
Here is a better view
Built and paid for by Mountain Bikers, not the fof or the MDC
To the right you can see the path the old bridge took, a fairly straight line
One end of the bridge starts on a big boulder
Making it more fun to ride & at the same time, preventing any erosion
View of the main section from the opposite side
View of the interesting construction technique used
I like to take double pictures incase some come out blurry
From the new bridge, you can look down and see the imprints of the old bridge
Its mostly mud underneath but in the middle there is a steady flow of water
This is where the trail was re-aligned to the right, You can see where the old path and old bridge was
The side opposite the boulder has some nice handy work instead
This short bridge is the other piece of the project, a smaller bridge over another muddy section
The small bridge from behind the wheel

Close up of the smaller bridge
Also having some stone puzzlework in place
I had to take one last pic before I continued on my way
